I have updated the firmware on P4P v2 to enable the RemoteID function.  I thought I might share several key learinings:

1.  Location Services has to be enabled on the IOS Device running the DJI GO 4 App. in order to operate the aircraft normally.
2.  When going to FAA Drone Zone website to update the the registration for  the aircraft, you will need to enter the Remote ID serial number.
3.  I looked in the About section of the DJI GO 4 App to find the  Remote ID Serial # for my P4P, but it was not listed.

4.  I learned that I had to append 1581F to the beginning of the my Flight Controller Serial number; this was my new Remote ID serial number.

Example: 1581F + 11VKF2P00210RJ = 1581F11VKF2P00210RJ

When I did this, I was able to update the aircraft registration for my P4P v2 Remote ID capability on the  Drone Zone website.

Fly Safe.

As another post on the same subject pointed out, you have to append a zero to the end of the FC Serial # for your P4P v2.

Example: 1581F + 11VKF2P00210RJ + 0 = RemoteID: 1581F11VKF2P00210RJ0

That makes for a 20 digit number that can be used for updating your P4P registration on the Drone Zone.

I missed that.

Happy Holidays.

Thank you so much. I can't tell if I'm an idiot but I had to spend a loooong time pulling my hair out and searching forums and reddit to finally find this answer. This was what I needed and couldn't find anywhere else.

My apologies for digging up this old post. My Mavic 2 Zoom has a controller SN that is one digit short - similar to you showing to add a zero at the end for the P4P. Is it safe to assume that the same behavior could be dome for my Mavic?

I just checked the FAA RID Compliance list and the Mavic 2 Zoom aircraft is listed, so your Mavic 2 Zoom is RID compliant (as long as it is working).

I'm not sure about the Mavic 2 series, but the aircraft serial number and flight controller serial number are the same on Mavic 3 aircraft.

If your Flight Controller SN is already 19 digits, I would try adding a zero to that.  The Drone Zone will let you know if it is valid, or not.

If your FC serial number is less than 19 digits, then you may have to use the solution we found for the Phantom 4 Pro v2, as documented in this thread.

Good luck and fly safe.
