As we already know, the last update gave us the opportunity to pair the microphone with the camera without plugging in the transmitter, a great solution would be the ability to pair the camera with an Intercom, e.g. cardo and sena, we already have a microphone in the intercom and if we want to put another one in the helmet, it may be a bit problematic.  In GoPro Hero 12 it is possible to pair it with an intercom

That will be sweet, at this moment I didn’t find any way to do group chat and recorded, either wire or Bluetooth

Any updates on this? I have cardo packtalk edge. Insta360 already came up with this feature an year ago with one of their action cams.

Can you guys please bring these options to action 3 and 4 please?

As a work around I am currently using one of these however it does not keep the Action 4 weather proof  surely it is time for DJI to fall in line with other manufacturers with this feature ?

The Osmo Action is a great camera but in this subject DJI seems to be always a step behind.
As we can see, motorcyclists are big action camera users so it makes all sense to provide the possibility to pair theyr intercom with the camera.
The Mic 2 is a great microphone, but not practical to use inside the helmet, period.
Let's hope for some Bluetooth pairing improvement fast.

I would just like to add that I as well are really hoping for such a feature! The Insta360 way to pair with Cardo intercom is just amazing. But I do not like those cams. I like the Action 4 the best for motorcycle vlogging and films.

DJI all your competitors already do this. Insta360 and GoPro allow Cardo and Sena to be connected via Bluetooth to cameras. You will see shift in moto vloggers switching to other brands if you don’t implement this feature. Heck I’m already considering it.

I'm  aerobatic pilot and use osmo action 4 for recording video from cockpit and  I need to  record cockpit audio ffrom intercom. I doing it with mic adapter and cable. But I really want to record wirelessly.
My Bose A30 bluetooth can do it with GoPro 12, but I can't do it with my action 4. Please do it in future updates. Thx

This will probably not be introduced so as not to make competition for the DJI MIC 2. It is good that a motorbike youtuber warned in his video not to choose DJI if you have a Cardo/Sena intercom, as there is no way to connect the intercom to the camera without any adapters etc. I returned the DJI and chose the Insta360 - zero problems.

Why is it not practical?  I'm currently using the Mic 2 in both my Shoei full face and my Shoei modular helmet with no issues.  I tried syncing my Ace Pro (before I returned it) to the Cardo and it only worked if nothing else was paired to the Cardo.  As soon as I had my phone synced and tried to play music, the music from the phone and the recording by the Ace Pro via bluetooth were both interrupted.  It was a mess.   

To me, syncing to the Cardo helps only if I can keep my phone paired.  

I'm another one wanting this feature. My gf has an insta 360 and I have an action 4. We both use Sena headsets when riding. Her Insta360 can connect to the headset and record audio. My DJI Action 4 can't which is a little disappointing.

I'm not sure it's competition, as physically most people can't mount a DJI Mic 2 inside their helmet (I do have one), and don't want to add yet another corded microphone in addition to their Sena or Cargo unit.

That and the DJI Mic 2 is commonly used by those using mirrorless cameras for blogging/YouTube etc.. and the OSMO (non-action) camera for walk around stuff.

Most motorcycle vloggers already use insta360 cameras because of this missing feature!

And that, though the insta360 cameras have a worse image quality.

Do something, DJI ... and do it fast !!!

Another reason to release action 5..

With the DJI Action 3 we could plug in an external bluetooth audio device into the USB-C slot and then connect that to the Sena or Cardo. It seems this isn't possible anymore with the Action 4 as the it doesn't recognise the same USB-C audio chipsets and no-one knows which ones it any it does recognise.

I am a big DJI fan for my drone and Ronin. So my first go to brand is DJI. Need two actioncams however Insta360 and Gopro already allow pairing the intercom.

So I am in between the 3 now. Would DJI have this function it would be a no brainer for me. And I would buy a 4 and a 5 without a 2nd tought.  

Still waiting for updates from DJI on this. It seems like it should be a relatively simple software fix. I'm not sure DJI care though.

Just do it ;)
