Ugly lumps of concrete on a beautiful beach

Beautiful place forever scarred by war or preparation for war...

That's a very desolate looking place..doesn't look like the beach sees any visitors, it's beautiful.

Sand, wind and water is slowly grinding on the bunkers. Someday they will be gone.

There are actually a lot of tourists and surfers in summer at the beach. But not at sunrise 6 o'clock in the morning

It's amazing to see how well those bunkers have held up over the last 80 some odd years.  Testament to how well they were constructed.  Nicely flown and documented.  

Super footage,   they must have made them well as they still littler the countryside all over Europe.  

A sobering reminder of times past.  Nice views along the beach.

In some areas they have been washed away into the sea. And I have seen divers exploring them.

We have a few like that around here,   makes a good long exposure photo too.

Lots of scars to be found indeed.
