The weather conditions were just right but in the end you never know. So scrambling up Pen yr Ole Wen in the Ogwen valley, North Wales always hoping to get above the clouds and when it gets brighter and you 'break through' it is always a wow moment.

Great views.  I've only experienced that effect twice  - once up Kinder Scout, here in the High Peak.  And once at the Mont des Avaloirs in northern France.
