The rain for us held off until the evening,  but judging on the bucket I left on the patio we had over an inch overnight.   hoping things dry soon as I wanted to catch up on some painting I failed to do yesterday.

I woke up at 02h30 and the rain was like a monsoon. Dull and showers now.

We had rain over night but I think it had stopped by then.    Strong winds now but bright and cold.   It's been a two jumper painting session this morning so far.

I painted until I was rained off,   and then the forecast early was dry until 4pm but the rain started at 11am and hasn't let up since,     possibly part of the yellow warning we are under for wind.

I think we're going to have to accept a mixed bag of weather for the next few weeks.
It was raining during the night, but sunny this morning during our French Group meeting.
A quick supermarket dash from there, drone ready to deploy whilst Mrs.B did the shopping.
And sure enough, as we arrived, the rain began. Showing no signs of stopping neither

Snap,   rain stopped here about 4am,    a quick 6 mile walk and a couple of flights,  and then onto the super markets which were just chaos here.    Then over to the Thames to see the container ships and the wind would have knocked me over.   Now raining again and Im watch the trees flex a lot in the wind.

I just walked SWMBOd down to the river and along it a little way,  a quick flight to see some sail boats but that was aborted due to the very strong winds that are back,     really busies out there with walkers and dog walkers etc all enjoying the day off.   The we passed the newly renovated pub and it was rammed.

Here it is business as usual actually. Everything seems to be open, apart from government organizations.

We have some really strange rules here,   today most companies are closed but shop etc remain open,  and then on Sunday everything is closed with few exceptions.

Not really a problem for us but I know people that struggle to find something to do with the MIL on the Sunday. Some non chain garden centres scrape around the rules and that can be a favourite.

Yeah, I can think something of that, but then again, this is a symptom, not a cause.
We like our slow days, so I have no problem with 2 days without shopping.

We tend to just shop once a week and if we planned OK thats enough for us,   I tend to prepare menus and recipes for the week in advance so we can be organised.

I also do weekly shopping, but then we also get some fresh stuff mostly every other day.

We didnt do it like previously,  but as of C19 it became a good way to manage what we could buy to what we ate and it kinda stuck.     Theres no where local that does good fresh veg so we try and do that just once a week and prioritise the items that go off first to be eaten first.

We have those weeks too, but quite often I make some extra visits during the week. Just for the fresh stuff.

Once it warms up we'll also have salad items to pick from the beg patch,   we already have onions, spinach and rhubarb ready to pick,  and some carrots and parsnip left from the winter.
