video being 3 days old, we don't know most of the new specs, and most of the comparison showing identical or inconsequential differences, not a value in that video.  i'm more interested in how much extra flight time, specs in Sport mode, how much better range/reception/penetration, and backwards compatibility with older goggles/mc for example.

Anyway, they might have a speed upgrade in M mode, but S and N mode will probably be the same.

Oh. So there’s no speed upgrade. That’s a shame, because I had some expectations.

Might even be slower in N mode to meet the C1 label it may or may not get.

Oh well. I at least hope that in Sport Mode it is 21m/s like the Mavic 3 Pro. The old Avata was 14m/s in Sport Mode. I was surprised, because that is even slower than a Mini series drone (16m/s).

Very. I can’t wait. What are your thoughts on this?

Never.
The rules in NL for FPV flying are way too strict for me.
I need a spotter and at least 150m horizontal distance from man made objects.
That is close to impossible here in NL apart from some super wide open fields (which are boring anyway)

Similar rules for Italy, but there’s nothing stopping you from flying in your own garden

You're not allowed to do that here.

The fact that it is your garden makes no difference for the rules.
So if you have a big big big backyard, you can fly FPV there with a spotter. Just need to make sure you keep 150m horizontal distance from about anything man made.
Which renders an FPV drone useless for me.

That does not matter in NL.
You need to see the drone, otherwise you fall in the FPV category (A3 with extra rules)
That is how it is in NL.

But the government or whoever controls the drones has all the right to set rules for flying in public spaces, but they have no right to stop you flying in your own property.

That is a common misunderstanding.
You don't own the airspace above your land. You only own your land.
The government is in charge of the airspace. Even that above your land
Otherwise you could stop airplanes from passing over your land

You own the space only 30m above your land (that’s what I think). So if you be careful not to exceed the altitude of 30m, you should be fine,

Nope.
No airspace is part of your property (at least not in NL).
The only thing you can do here is complain about people using it against your will and if there is a reasonable issue, they can be asked to stop using the airspace above your property.
But you don't own any part of that column of air here in NL.

The avata 2 is labeled as a class C1 drone and therefore allowed to fly in A1 open category in all of Europe, unlike the original avata which is labeled as a legacy drone only allowed to fly in A3 open category. This means the original avata has to be flown at least 150m away from any man-made structures, but this does not apply to the avata 2. As you mentioned, a spotter is required to maintain VLOS if you plan on using FPV goggles with the drone. I hope this helps

DJI Avata 2 is the first ever FPV drone released with a C1-class label, therefore you could conclude the information from your link outdated/unrelated. I came across this information as well before, but you should pay attention to the fact that the information of your link is all related to FPV-drone racing, so the regulations are referring mostly to custom-built drones.
You can read in the specs of avata 2 that its top speed will be limited to 19 m/s in European airspace even though the drone has a maximum speed of 27 m/s. Why would DJI put limits on their own technology that just released, if it was supposed to be flown in A3 category anyway? The entirety of the EU is a large region for them in terms of sales.
