I had the chance to go up to Alaska for the past couple of weeks and bring my Phantom3p alongThere were no specific plans for shooting, just optimistic.
20 flights were taken, no major issues of any kind.
I'm absolutely impressed with the copter and camera.
This was my first time with ND filters as well, which I now see as a must to get professional feeling video.
30fps 4k conformed to 23.976, shot at mostly 1/60th but sometimes 1/120th, never above 100iso, all flat settings in the color modes, then color corrected and edited in PremiereCC.

I've done enough video work with older cameras to hate when shadows are black. Now that cameras are getting more dynamic range, lowering contrast levels, I celebrate having definition in the shadows. It's closer to the human eye, what we see. Finally cameras hold detail in shadows when exposed for the bright spots. So awesome. It's truely amazing how far we have come.

I make sure to get music license for online videos...not so much for the morality, but because youtube and Vimeo have bots scanning for copywriter music and will sometimes take down your video...well YT usually just puts on ads. Anyway, it's a track from us.audionetwork.com

Nice work what ND filter did you use? I just ordered an ND filter set with filters from 4 to 64.

I see lots of great videos and am itching to create something similar. Unfortunately Singapore doesn't have many wide open spaces and currently visibility is poor due to haze.

I am inspired by your video to get out there as soon as the haze clears, probably have to wait a couple of weeks though.

I am humbled by the awesomeness of your images.

Very nice work.  My only comment is that the black levels don't go to black.  They go to gray which dives a sort of washed out dull appearance on my calibrated monitors.

I'm seeing an orange colour cast in A lot of shots.  But you say you have corrected it, so I guess that is your intention?
Also the dynamic range seems limited, I.e. Whites not white, blacks not black, and very little shadow detail.

Subject is good and flying great, I would like to see a different edit with the levels treated in a different way.

I agree. I prefer the black objects to be brighter.
