Just last Sunday I spotted this curious monument/headstone/milestone (?) in an area I've visited many times before.
I'd never previously seen it.  A conundrum for @DAFlys and others

When you've scratched your head for a bit, I'll pull back and reveal more of the shot - you might get it then.  

Very interesting shot Mr. B.  It has the look of a headstone but I'm thinking it might be more like a marker of sorts.  I'll give it another go after you offer up a bit more of the surroundings.

There are a number of caches around there, but I didn't have time for that. I didn't even reach my goal before I had to double back for the bus.  It was incredibly busy (always is at weekends).
