Did you check if your controller is connected to your Wifi network? You can check by pulling down from the top of the screen and see if its connected. If it is, go back to main screen, select Profile, Settings, About, then select 'Check for Updates'.  v1.13.4  is available in the US.

I installed it and it works fine and fast.
Since the Android operationsystem and the App were divided, the installation process is fast and convinient  ... Thanks DJI !

I can confirm that boot up is now faster. Before the latest FW update it was taking on average 45 seconds for the RC2 and drone to boot up and get connected. (This time excludes satellite connectivity.) I actually complained to DJI that the M4P had got slower to boot up with successive FW updates and they told me the boot up speeds I was seeing were “normal”.  Well now with the new FW it’s taking on average 28 seconds for the RC2 and drone to boot up and get connected - about the same as when the drone was first released last year. So thanks DJI - boot up/connectivity is now about 17 seconds faster!!!

Thanks. Yes had to go into profile, settings, about, check for updates. Had the auto check for updates selected but it wasn't showing up on boot up. Maybe  fly app updates only shows if there is also a firmware update. Was the same on the RC1.

If update is not showing up, go to profile -> settings -> about -> Check for firmware update. Welcome and good flights

I've just upgraded the android phone I use with my RCN1 and Mini 2 to the 1.13.4 fly app, and now have no plans on updating the 1.12.4 fly app on my Mini 4 Pro and RC2, as I find the 1.13.4 start screen cluttered with useless panels. I don't use quick transfer, hopefully won't be using service, and the before you fly panel is permanently stuck on locating......
I'm wondering what kind of system resources are being used up locating....lol.
As I understand it, the latest 1.13.4 fly apps claim to fame are fixing the slow boot up times and sluggish response in the RC2 after the update before that one, but the first thing I noticed when I installed it on my android phone and mini 2 was very slow satelite aquisition, but it flew the same in a test flight as it always has.
Right now I'm waiting on a firmware tuning solution from DJI to cure my poirposing Mini 4, which bucks like a rodeo horse going full speed into the wind I see there are a few threads on the subject so I'm sure DJI will come up with something to calm the little fellers nerves.

Since yesterdsay i tried to update my RC2 - no way. It says im using actual Version (1.13.0). And yes - im was connected to WiFi and yes, i did check via settings in my profile - also with DJI Assistant 2. Doesnt find or suggest any firmware update. This is quite strange. Location: Austria

Perhaps its a sign not to update yet, lol. I'm starting to get that its probably smart not to do a firmware update until its been out for like a month or so. I'd suspect that a lot of the issues downloading are just overloaded servors trying to accomodate a few thousand people trying to get the latest buggy firmware at the same time

I have a very similar approach to updates. I have WiFi disabled on the RC2 and only update the drone and RC2 when no one reports any issues with that version, which is usually at least a month after the update is released.

And especially the latest fw version really shouldn't go on my drone and RC2, I have a feeling that v01.00.0300 / v02.00.0300 might be the last version I'll use on the drone/RC2, given the "pleasant" changes that DJI has been coming up with lately...
The time it takes for the RC2 to boot up doesn't bother me at all. I take the hardware out of the hardcase, turn on the RC2, prepare the drone for flight in the meantime, and then wait for the GPS fix. If this doesn't take 10 minutes or more, I have no problem with it.
And I really don't miss any additional features or bug fixes in the last two versions. Any further fw would have to bring some really interesting feature or change that would force me to update.
And yes, it's a bit against the flying rules (requirement for always the latest fw version), but I'm willing to take that risk (declassified M4P and A1/A3 + A2 licenses)
