Drone photo mode and goggle video mode at the same time.
I know it's not possible.
But why?

I switch the drone to photo mode. The photos are saved on the card in the drone.
During this time, the goggles do not record anything.

I would like them to save the camera preview as a movie when the drone takes photos.
It is possible? Is there something I don't know?

I understand, that drone cannot take photos while recording video.

But Goggles have videosignal all the time, why not record it while drone is in photo mode?

A drone that is in photo mode sends a preview from the cameras to the goggles.
But the goggles do not record this image (video) because... the drone is in photo mode.
If you lose a drone that was in photo mode, you do not have video documentation of the accident.

Interestingly, you always have a record of the last 30 seconds of the flight in the form of a video, regardless of the drone's photo/video mode.
But only for viewing in goggles.

Bumping this thread. The Goggles are receiving a constant video feed in order to generate the view for the pilot. So DJI should absolutely allow the Goggles to auto-record that video feed to the SD card inserted into the Goggles even while the drone is taking photos to the onboard SD card. Being able to capture photos or video clips with the drone while also getting a single, continuous video of the entire flight (from the Goggles) would be very useful. I realize that Goggles video isn't as good as drone video, but it's still better than not being able to achieve this outcome at all.

This seems especially obvious to allow since whenever the drone is in Photo mode, the Goggles can’t be used for recording anything, because photos are not stored on the Goggles SD card.

Maybe we need a new option called “Always record video on Goggles”, which would auto-record at takeoff and then continue recording on the Goggles no matter what is happening with the drone. That way, even if the drone is in Photo mode or video recording is stopped and restarted, the Goggles will always have that single video of the entire flight.
