With so much negativity towards DJI these days, I am compelled to make a post on my recent experience with DJI Support and Repair Service (Fort Worth, Texas, USA).
Last October, I purchased a 'used' DJI FPV from facebook marketplace. I put 'used' in quotes because I don't think it had ever been flown, it still had all the factory stickers on it and the battery had 0 cycles (wasn't sure if there was a way for a user to reset that or not).
Anyways, I hadn't flown it in manual (acro) until about a month ago. It was going so well that started with some rolls and flips...and then I went for the power loop....
Since I bought it used....I didn't have Care Refresh. The question was repair or replace (or just sell the batteries and charger and forget about the DJI FPV). So I decided to send it to DJI and see what they said.
BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!
Very quick and efficient. It arrived at the service center on Monday, July 1st and was shipped out on July 5th. Very impressed especially taking into consideration Independence Day. While I didn't receive the drone I sent, I assume it was a refurbished unit (looks like new!!!).
As far as the cost....it was about one third of what I was expecting.
I won't ever hesitate on using DJI's repair service.
