I have a problem with my DJI Mini 4 Pro and RC controller.
None of the suggested pairing solutions work. Both RC and Drone were updated last week but when they are both switched on the RC fails to pair with the Drone.

SD Card removal, long button press on the drone to get into pairing mode .... nothing works. They just fail to connect and I can't fly. App version 1.13.10 .... RC Firmware 02.02.0300

Attempt to pair always ends with "Pairing Timed Out".


This first happened in Italy a few weeks ago when I was trying to photograph a friends campsite for his web site. The drone wouldn't pair to the controller, tried everything but after 2 hours searching forums for an answer I gave up. Back home on my PC I updated the drone directly using the Windows App, and the RC via WiFi. At first they still wouldn't pair but it started working suddenly and I thought the problem was solved.

Now in Croatia and want to photograph some yachts .... same problem. Drone and RC will not pair and after 2 hours trying everything I can find it still doesn't work and I can't fly.

Sounds like a worldwide problem of the ole yet modern day saying or situation of too many fingers stuffed into the pie. As such seems our rights, freedoms and privileges as men on the lands have become moreso subject to the statute's, policies and code's of the gubbments aka corporation's. To such a extent we've seemingly allowed our hands to be tied even using our 1st amendment rights to be press, documentation, hobby flying or the like with our flying camera's as if we're operating our own corporation or llc. Really is quite interesting what we've all allowed trying to go along to get along, really is quite interesting a time to be alive as they say. LoL I just gotta shake my head fellas.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Can you try the troubleshooting steps below?

1. Ensure that both the aircraft and controller are powered on.
2. Please check whether the aircraft and remote controller both are powered on.
3. Please check whether the aircraft has a microSD card. If yes, remove the microSD card and try linking again.
4. Please switch the linking method between “Linking with the app” and “Linking with combination buttons”.
Remote controller (DJI RC 2): C1 + C2 + Record button
Aircraft: Press and hold the Power button on the aircraft for four seconds to prepare to link.
5. If it is invalid, check whether the remote controller has been updated to the latest version. Connect the remote controller to the app (make sure to connect Wifi or a hotspot when using RC with a built-in screen). After the connection is successful, check whether there is a prompt to update the firmware. If yes, update the firmware to the latest version and try linking again.
6. Please connect the aircraft to the computer, check the aircraft firmware version in the DJI Assistant 2, and try linking after updating or refreshing the aircraft’s firmware to the latest version. You can download the Assistant 2 here.

Tried all of this, still the same result - will not pair.

DJI Assistant 2 states RC2 Firmware up to date, V02.02.0300 and DJI Mini 4 pro up to date, V01.00.0600 (with an option to downgrade to V01.00.500)

SD Card removed from Drone.

Try logging out, and then back in to your dji account.

Tried this, no change

Tried a downgrade to V01.00.500 .... didn't work either. Here are screenshots of the versions ...

Have sent the drone in for repair/investigation.

Did you ever get this figured out ? Having the same issue except mine will connect for a few seconds then immediately disconnects again. I’m losing my mind tryna figure this out.
