Hi,

I am new to the Phantom family (Phantom 3 Standard) and was wondering if this is normal. When the P3S is turned on, the gimbal is making a weird loud sound. I noticed this only happens when it is resting and not when moving (see below). Thanks in advance.

Not sure if the standard has a different gimbal than the Pro or Adv, but that is NOT normal for the P and A.

Not normal.. Sorry to say it might well need a visit back to DJI or get a replacement from a dealer if you purchased from one..

make sure there is no metal under that table, try it outside, if its the same then not it needs to go back sadly

Hello . Did you try a gimbal auto calibration ?  you should be try this way. so looks like a gimbal motor problem.
