Hello,

Avata 2 can do latency with Goggles 3:
24ms with 1080p video feed and 100Hz
40ms with 1080p video feed and 60Hz

How change or set above modes?

in the camera options, if you select 4k 100 fps will use 1080p and 24ms for the live preview (they are connected)

From Ian Lewis tests result the 1080p/2.7K@100 modes are giving far lower latency than 4k@100.
@DJI can you confirm this?

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

It depends on recording fps settings. The relationships between image transmission frame rate and recording frame rate when DJI Avata or DJI Avata 2 is used with DJI Goggles 2, DJI Goggles Integra, or DJI Goggles 3 are as follows:

If the recording frame rate is 30 fps, the image transmission frame rate is 60 fps.
If the recording frame rate is 60 fps, the image transmission frame rate is 60 fps.
If the recording frame rate is 50 fps, the image transmission frame rate is 100 fps.
If the recording frame rate is 100 fps, the image transmission frame rate is 100 fps.
If the recording frame rate is 120 fps, the image transmission frame rate is 60 fps.

Note: If the recording frame rate is greater than 100 fps, the image transmission frame rate is 60 fps by default.

Hi there.

Please review my response in reply 4#; I have updated the information there.

Hello,

Thanx, but thats not exactly what i asked in my second post.

The point is - when i set the 1080p or 2.7K resolution at 100 FPS then i will get 26ms latency, but when i set the 4K recording resolution at 100 FPS then i will get 42 ms latency, all on Avata 2 O4.

But, on the O3, its no matter its 1080p, 2.7K or 4K. If i set 100 FPS, then i will get around 26ms latency.

Again, is that correct that on 100 FPS on 4K recording i will get worse latency (around 42ms) than on recording set to 1080p/2.7K ? That is the result of Ian Lewis tests of Avata 2 O4 latency.

(all i wrote is for Goggle 3)

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

This can't possibly be the case because setting the recording to 30fps makes our live view into what looks and feels like a slideshow. Also the fact you can set shutter speed to frame speed means what you are saying is technically impossible. Please double-check your info with the engineering team.
