Australia’s Northern Territory is a remarkable place. From its tropical  north to its desert south you could fit Texas, France and South Korea  within its borders. Yet it has a population of just 250,000 people. It  is my home, and to those who live here it is simply known as “the  territory”.

Amazing beauty and colors. Cool shot of the road train as well.

I saw the road train driver parked on the main highway pointing his nose down the dirt so I asked him if I could drive a few kms ahead of him to set up and call him in on the UHF radio. He was happy to help!

I had to check Blériot, yes it is. That type can be over 7 metres tall and are only found in the tropical north of the NT

Now they are also excellent.    We use dont get birds like that here unless they have escaped captivity.

I know... I used to live in Europe...

Here in Australia, you have two kind of people:  The pretending animal lover and the real animal lover..

The pretending group use cages, leashes... anything that can force the poor animal to stay, while the real use their love to build up on the essential friendship and trust. Horse lover (pony club members) are probably the worse...

I always felt bless, once I got here in Australia, to meet some of these people.. From horse whispers that can simple and gently ask a horse to enjoy and play together, to the hundreds of animal rescue people, spread out across the continent. In their open backyard, you will see and meet some of the most unbelievable characters.. When people say that we are the most intelligent of the animal kingdom, I often really wonder if that's truly the case... I can't say that I'm convinced...

Here you will often meet an old person with some breed of birds (or it can be a baby Koala) on their shoulder, doing their shopping or simply walking around... It seems to me that most animals are much better at judging characters than we are...

This is Bruno. It has been a good friend for the past 3 years. He doesn't talk much and he sleeps a lot...

I'm not sure Bruno would be happy to be taken around during the day...

I belong to the second group.... I don't interfere with the wildlife, if I can help it...

But birds wise, yes, I have seeing few people going around shopping with their pet... Some of them can talk better than the owners...

You are also allowed to have your dog or cat with you in the shop, as long as he stays in the trolley...
