Hi, Forgive the newbie question....I spend about 3 months of the year in the USA....Does anyone know if I can use a USA purchased (spec'd) Phantom legally in the UK? In other words was wondering if the radio gear uses a different frequency etc. Thanks in advance for any replies! Allan

Is UK still in the EU ?

Then you have to use the EC mode (25 mW) of the transmitter.
When not than you are happy with the FCC mode (125mW) with more control range

To answer nimbusaviation original question.
There is no difference between a USA and UK Phantom, so you will not have any issues using it over here.
On the back of the transmitter is a pot to turn the output power down to CE for Europe.

nimbusaviation / Alan should you not have a screwdriver handy you can switch between FCC mode and CE mode using the RC Assistant Software. The below screen capture shows a transmitter set in FCC mode. When you are in FCC mode and you turn your transmitter on you will hear two "beeps" in CE mode you will hear one "beep". Obviously in visiting the UK you want to bring the correct plug for your battery charger to charge your batteries. Something you certainly do not want to overlook while packing for your trip.
