Hi DJI Gamora.
Just to let you know I found the solution to my problem.
When asked for the precise location from the Mimo app, in my phone settings I set the app settings permission to approximate location. The Mino app now works with both my old phone with no sim card present and on my new phone. Both phones are not on your list for working with the app and not particularly high end phones but both have full access to my original Osmo Pocket.
The two phones are a Galaxy A12 and my current Galaxy A15.
The Osmo Pocket itself is still working well. Fully charged and not connected to the phone, the Pocket still lasts the expected recording time. I seldom fast charge it but tend to trickle charge it most of the time from my PC. I only fast charge the pocket for additional record time when I'm out.
I'm glad I have the Mimo app back up and running as for what I tend to use it for, object tracking is more reliable than the face tracking.
Thank you for the offer of assistance, it is much appreciated on a product that is now three generations old.
By the way I have had a few stills taken from the camera's 4K output over the years published on a main UK's charity website. I just didn't tell them what camera I had used.
