Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

Funny, I would say this section is more active and the 'works' section is mainly for showing your work

And to give my answer, no, I have not flown high up the mountains, but I did fly my Mini 3 Pro in the snow / cold and the batteries do empty much quicker.
So keep the spares close to your body.
Also my fingers had troubles with the cold and operating the drone.

Yes. I go skiing twice a year in the French Alps and always take my Mini drones (currently using M4P).  You cannot fly in built up areas anywhere in France between sunset & sunrise. Some ski resorts won’t let you fly your drone at all, but fortunately my ski resort allows drones (provided nowhere near the village/town).  I seem to recall something in the DJI user manual about being careful flying over snow. Personally I’ve never had an issue flying my drone over snow and it has worked at temperatures down to -10°C.  That said, tracking yourself skiing downhill with M4P doesn’t really work even on a gentle slope despite the fact that both the horizontal speed and vertical descent speed means that the drone should be able to keep up. I recently bought the Air 3S which should keep up with a skier. Problem is that you are not allowed to fly this drone over uninvolved people - so realistically it cannot be used for skiing. Finally, don’t forget that you need to pass the EASA exam

My resort is Sainte Foy Tarentaise Station (just down the road from Val D'Isere).  Interestingly, since I was last there in March new airspace restrictions have been introduced.  However, it only affects the lower chairlift in my resort.  Once I am up the mountain I can fly my drone.  I have checked the airspace at Valmorel and it looks like for now there are no airspace restrictions for drones in this ski resort.  Enjoy your trip.  Snow has come very late to the French Alps this year so hopefully there is enough snow for skiing

No problem in Vars last year, but of course, not in center town. No problem in the mountains, but it's better to have a ND filter, because your shutter speed to not far from max.

Steph my DJI Mini 4 Pro is registered with Ministere Charge Des Transports and have the registration number. so it will be ok to fly right, as I'm from Singapore

Should be, but you will need to show the French registration on your drone

ND64 at least. If bright sun and snow, get the ND128.
