When I use a USB cable to connect my drone to my Windows PC it seems to breifly  connect then it reconnects  breifly and disconnects. It keeps connecting and disconnecting until I pull the USB cable from the drone. When I try to Eject the Media it says "Problem Ejecting USB Composite Device".

This same thing happens both with and without the SD card inserted.

1. I have four data cables that I have verified to work properly.
2. I have tried connecting via both the USB-A and USB-C ports on my computer.
3. Both ports on my computer can be used with a card reader to view and move files on the SD card.
4. When I go to DEVICES on my PC, the Mini 4 Pro appears but when it disconnects it says there is a Driver Error.
5. My USB drivers on my PC appear to be up to date.
6. My aircraft firmware is version 01.00.0700. There is a newer version of firmware (01.00.0800) available but I have seen people advising not to upload it yet. And this problem has been happening over multiple earlier firmware versions.
7. I am unable to connect the aircraft to my PC via DJI Assistant 2. Same issue, it seems to connect and disconnect.

PLEASE HELP! TIA!

Use the DJI USB C to A, or C to C cable. The drone should be turned off.

The usb cable that came with the drone is one of the four cables I used. All four cables are good. I connected the cables with the drone power turned off. Also tried turning the power on both before and after inserting the cable.

I am beginning to think the usb socket on my drone is bad but have no way of verifying that.

Install the DJI assistant software (DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series) and use the bottom port of the RC2, if that doesnt work try the port on the top

It does the same thing as when I try to connect the drone - connect, disconnect, repeat. There appears to be some sort of driver problem.  Just not sure if I can fix it or if it is a DJI problem.

Is your USB Port not having a problem on its power source? Is it working fine using USB flash drives? is it 3.0 USB port or greater?

Yes the power is fine and the ports work fine with flash drives. I don’t know how to tell if it is 3.0.

Try plugging your drone into another PC, some basic troubleshooting. If you don't have one, take the drone with you to best buy and plug it into one of many sitting there running

I don’t have another PC and I am not comfortable walking in Best Buy with my drone and plugging it in. I doubt they would appreciate that either.

I am pretty sure it is a driver incompatibility with my computer.  I just don’t have the expertise working with drivers. My computer thinks my usb drivers are up to date. I am unsure which driver is causing the problem and was hoping someone here might have some suggestions.

Is that a new laptop you have there? I had an issue with the DJI Assistant 2 after I reinstalled windows as being a new copy of Windows, it was lacking Microsoft visual C++. I went to microsoft and downloaded that and after  a restart, I could use the DJI assistant. Just a thought.
