can anyone explain from DJI why the LOG mode does not also expose like as in auto mode ?
i am confused.

I always stick to auto anyways - for the video clips I film it's great, and I'm not much of a cooler correction person! lol

Normal color profile has built in HDR like an iphone.  Log-M will be more nautral but if you use DJI's Lut you'll get some crushed blacks.  If you do your own processing you'll be able to raise shadows and get a pretty good picture.
