i know there are some altitude limits - can some one with first hand experience help me with some tips on flying P3 Pro in Colorado?  The locations I am going to are between 5K and 6K feet above sea level but I would also like to take up to 10K altitude if I can.  Anybody?

Around 18K service ceiling, if I remember correctly.  Most of Wyoming is above 6K.  You must be from a sea level state.

Yep, since the tallest peaks in CO are all under 14,500 ft. (4419.6 meters) and the P3 will only fly 500m above its launch point, you have over 1000m of service altitude that you won't even touch. And if you keep it to the legal 400 ft. per the FAA (you really should), you're even more in the clear.

Will do, that's great to know.  I accidentally almost changed the 120M setting when I realized the units were meters not feet.  Yes planning to stay under 400 feet and doing my very best to protect everyone's privacy.  I love this hobby so much, don't want to ruin it

Good question.  Here's how it works - the Phantom measures altitude from the point where it was launched and that could very drastically... California coast is 100ft above sea level... Colorado has some parts that are 10k or more above sea level.  Having said that, the total altitude is the aircraft's max plus whatever the elevation is at the starting point.  Thus, that is how you can potentially get total altitude of 10k feet.
