sorry guys i searched the net and the forum but cant find the answer ... i read that turning of the above helps with video tranmission ?? what does it mean ? i thought it meant it didnt save video to my tablet and therefore helps with video feed ? i turned it off and i still have the videos on my tablet so i guess im wrong in what i thought ? can someone explaine it for me as i am stumped ....

Ask the person you heard that from. Im not sure why turning it of should help with your feed. I like to have it set to max 2gb which is a lot of 720p...in case I loose my bird I at least have something from the crash.

I turn cache off and have no local videos on the tablet. Not sure why you would still have videos with it off. Turn it off and click on "clear local cache". Go fly and see what happens. You shouldn't have videos. Some people have heating problems and and "laggy" video when caching. I haven't experienced that in a while even when caching. Hope this helps.

thank you mate ... I have tried everything and its still putting it onto the tablet .. iv cleared the cache turned it on and off a few times but it keeps putting it onto the tablet as well as the sd card .... it puts the pictures on as well .. its like the option for turning it off doesn't work ?

Just for confirmation, most settings are stored either on the P3 itself or on the RC, when you change the configuration, is your RC/P3/TAB all powered up? On my Note 4, when local cache is turned on, the lower res photos/videos are captured locally (along with an info file) on Device Storage at /DJI/dji.pilot/DJI_RECORD. When I turn off the cache locally, no files are captured. You can additionally make the cache "auto-cleaning" with the Auto Clean up Video Cache (when over 2GB). Below both of the cache settings is the Clear Video Cache button that will  delete the contents of the DJI_RECORD folder whether you are connected to the P3 or not:

yes I have it all powered up when im trying it .... its 100% turned off and its still putting videos into my tablet .. its really odd ....

I had asked some time ago and was told not to bother with caching. it will only cache in 720p and there really is no need to……unless I guess one might not have a sd installed

that's the whole point of my thread .. I don't want to cache to my tablet but it wont switch off .....

Did you try to uninstall DJI Go App and reinstall again ?
I am android also to off the cache setting and no cache video recorded in tab....

I use the old pilot app as I don't want the new go app ... im still on 1.1.9 fw because I don't need all the new stuff ..

heres a very bad video of what is going on .. i take a small vid then hit the play button on the RC and it shows the vid on my tab and i have cache turned off ....

looks like I will have to live with this problem as there is no way to fix it ....

I had to turn mine off with the last update due to a bad stutter in the live feed during recording, never had a problem prior to the last update. One step forward and two back.

The reason is likely the older firmware you are using which might not support that function. I am on the latest Go app and firmware and the bird flies great, but I had a bad live feed stutter, and turning off the cache function smoothed it back out.
I might mention I only had the stutter while recording video, which turned out fine, just the live feed was affected.
