I don't get this design choice myself.

Kind of cool, but I think the Neo was a game changer

I was hoping this drone could be a mixture of a fpv vs drone where we could adapting the filming in a family/scenario situation or having fun with fpv, by delivering a product for both enthusiasts.

However, I hope Dji won't let the fpv lovers down. Im Afraid since the first dji fpv (which was a great drone) to dji avata 1/2/neo there was a decline in what the fpv really means with some restrictions on their products and becoming a bit more of toys. However, still good products which I own some of them.

Without Remote ID in the US this isn't much of a vlog camera if you are publishing online at all (unless you like paying FAA fines ). This makes it nothing but an expensive toy, you can't even register it for content creation use without an RID serial number...

You COULD throw a RID module on it, but then it takes it out of the weight class to use over people and becomes just another drone. Might as well get a Mini 3 or Mini 4 Pro at that point, or even a Holystone if you just want to play around!

The Flip is ALMOST a game changer but falls just short without RID enabled . Maybe we'll get a firmware update that does enable RID so it can ACTUALLY be used for vlogging, as well as other commercial operations.

is it an upgrade, if i change my Mini 3 Pro to Dji Flip ?

Nice unboxing video the flip looks good

Looks good, i would probably buy this drone if it was sold without a controller, I already have the RC2 that came with my mini 4

I just bought it and am very satisfied with its camera image quality. But please turn on the tracking feature for construction objects, cars, motorbikes,... and add a wide-angle lens filter soon.
