Hi,

Since 1 month, i have sometime an issue with few video of my Mini two.
I have distorted videos (image ripples).

I tried to change the battery, but it doesn't change anything.
It is also not systematic, in the example with this message, the symptoms occurred for some at the beginning of shooting and the other at the end.
Do you have any idee or solution for this problem ?

I'm in video 4K 30 frames per second.

Most likely time to replace the props.
They seem to be no longer in balance.
Maybe they got bent a little bit.

I agree with Montfrooij....seems like a propeller issue.

I will add, make sure you change them in pairs. Each set is balanced so if you mix them up, you will get results similar to what is happening in your video.

OK, why not for propellers. Thanks for your help.

But how can explain the distorsion is not present during all time of the video ?
How many hour can i use the motor ?

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear about your experience. Please follow the steps outlined below to address the issue:

1. It is recommended to either increase the exposure time by using an ND filter or adjusting the camera parameters, or reducing the flight attitude angle to get a better picture effect.
2. Ensure that the gimbal is released from the limit buckle. If not, calibrate the gimbal and IMU in the DJI Fly app, and then check if the issue persists.3. Confirm if the original video on the microSD card is normal. If it is, the issue may be related to the image transmission signal:
a. The mobile device has insufficient processing capability.
b. There was large signal interference.
4. If the rippling effects also occur in the original video:
a) Calibrate the gimbal.
b) Check if the firmware is the latest version. If not, please update the firmware to the latest version.
c) Check whether there is foreign matter or dust on the gimbal. If so, please remove them.
d) Check if the gimbal and propellers have obvious damage or misshapen.
e) Check whether the issue only appears in windy or severe cold environments.

Thanks a lot for all this information.
Today is a nice day, no wind and good temperature. Yesterday i have wind but without alert on djy fly.

Today I have realised 3 flights without any issue in 4k 30 fps and 2,7k 60 fps for 2.30 minutes. Same battery, phone and sd card.

Despite everything i have clean gimbel, change propellers and use a filter nd4 in auto and pro mod.

I will wait until next weekend to test again.

Do you think other drone flying in same place can make this issue of jitters video ?

It's not constant because the vibrations change with the revs of the motors and the imbalance it can create with bad props.
Some frequencies resonate with the body and make it shake, which translates to the gimbal.
Since all 4 motors wil constantly spin at different speeds, it will sometimes cause this vibration.

Let us know if it solved your problem!
So we can learn from it too.

And PS, if you reply to somebody, it's best to hit that small 'reply' button below its reply, that way you get a pop up reply form and the user gets a notification

Ok. Sorry for my global answer.
I try probably next weekend again but this time without nd4 filter to confirm propellers issue.

Thanks

I try probably next weekend a gain but this time without nd4 filter to confirm propellers issue.

Yeah, like this!
ND filters can be the cause too btw.
And (most of the time) you won't really need them, so I would suggest flying without to begin with.
Unless you know you need them.

If you mean what happens in your video between 15-17 sec., then it means that the video recording has been interrupted for a fraction of a second, which is why the image jumps a little forward and the cause of this may be strong wind combined with a slightly slow card. Because in strong wind, the IMU needs more power to stabilize the drone and sudden changes in power differences may cause gaps in the video recording. Of course, I could also be wrong without knowing the actual situation.

Thanks for your help. In fact i talk about ripples that we see on the edges and which distort the image. We can see on some people or some cars during first part and on the towers of the second video. It is not easy to see.

Too bad I wasn't of any help.
Yes, watching the second video it is clearly visible but unfortunately it is difficult to explain because it can have several reasons and one could be due to the movement of air currents in waves and the refraction of light rays at a certain angle. It could also be due to the instability of the gimbal. This is just my opinion.
I experienced something similar a many years ago when I had a Phantom 4pro+ and the strange thing was that it was not there during the flight of the drone only when the drone was standing on a table.
