Hello, as many of us I got a stress Crack on rear arm of my p3a. I'm ready to ship the bird to dji repair center but i'm scared about long repair times. Just now I've discovered there are reinforcement plates that manufacturer says will avoid stress cracks to form and will also stop the existing cracks to grow. Is it true? Anyone of you has chosen this solution to avoid long warranty times? Is it an alternative way to ensure safe flying with our birds already affected from stress cracks?

I can touch on one part of that - the chances of minor stress cracks quickly developing into something more seem low. Many have reported flying as usual after the cracks.

I personally would not go for the plates. If anything I would do zip ties holding the top and bottom together and inspect my machine every once in a while.

You could buy the shell and replace yourself. Or, contact DJI and see what the backlog is. It's likely the backlog will be shorter now than it will be after the holidays!

Thanks guys, I've just zip tied the sick arm and hope it work, i've thought also to change the shell on my own but due to lack of official info on dji website cannot understand if shell available in the store is the new reinforced one or not.
