I'm wondering if anyone has encounted this, and if so might be able to lend some advice.
I started the unit up and the malfunction seen in this video I created happened. I believe I used a different SD card when this first began to happen, so I'm not sure if I've corrupted. This is the actual unit starting up:


I've tried using a different SD card, and it seems like it wants to do a firmware update, but nothing seems to change.

How long did you let it go? When I upgraded to 1.4 mine made a similar noise
And a lot of others as well. I just let it go. I do not know how long it finally
Took, however it finally finished the upgrade with the regular beeping showing
It was finished. There are others on the board that can also assist you with
This and probably will. The noise was terrible on my inspire. Thought something was very wrong
However I let it go. See if someone else will answer then let it update.

I see your not updating however it sounds like you are. If you are
Not updating then wait for someone else to answer as I was thinking
You where updating and not that the card was causing the problem.

I have just received back my inspire from somthing like you problem  .on startup it calibrated the gimble then it went limp the sequence of the  bleeping changed  and I could not update   Fault also was shown in the app so check in the app said main cable fault . When I received back their was a new gimble so I take it that it was the a camera had gone faulty
