Dear DJI team.
Being happy owner of P2V+ I Purchased DJI E300 tuned propulsion system for it.
I was trying to find installation manual for that (as mentioned at your official site it is compatible with Phantom 2 Vision), but did not find a useful thing.
I just wonder if it is possible to keep all original features and functions of my p2v+ and install e300 on it?

I could be wrong, but...

I think the newer Phantom 2's and Visions (upgraded in November, 2014) use very similar components to the E300 and do not need to be upgraded.

If you have an older Phantom or Vision, I think you have to buy the newer motors, esc's and props to upgrade - NOT the E300, which is for building quadcopters from scratch.

Droneflyers is correct, E300 is not for upgrading P2V+, that is for building open frame quad copters, like the F450 flame wheel from DJI.

In this case the DJI lied in E300 installation guide saying that it used with Phantom 2 Vision.

I wouldn't say they deliberately lied.  They are given a couple of weeks of training in the basics of the system, then turned loose to troubleshoot problems.  They just didn't know.  Some of these parts might not be used for upgrades very often and are left off their lists.  I have found that seeing what they have to say about a question is to keep doing more research to get a qualified answer.

E300 is identical to what P2V+ was using, in terms of motor, prop and ESC. And the new version of P2V+ (V3, released in November) had a better power system than E300, so installing E300 to P2V+ is not a upgrade.

The manual did say E300 is used on Phantom vision, they meant that the identical system was already installed from manufacturing.

I have V2 P2V+, so when i see Tuned Propulsion system in Accessories under Phantom 2Vision category, and read installation guide, and at the bottom i see

I clearly understand that my Phantom 2 Vision can be upgraded with this system, and i even SEE P2V+ on assembly diagram.
Now i have purchased (useless) e300, disassembled P2V+ and question to DJI - do you call it client oriented and clear for understanding commercial?

I have replaced an older P2 motors with the e300 motors.  I will say that I have not seen any appreciable inprovement in the performance of the P2.  I did it more for looks than anything else.  However, the escs are entirely different and if you did install the e300 escs you would loose the built in LEDs on the P2V+.  You are right we could have done a better job in explaining the options and as it has already been mentioned the new  P2V+ has had its own propulsion system upgrade.  Again I apologize for the confustion and frustration this has caused you.

ok so this is my Day 2 with my brand new P2V+ v3 and I am loving it. Its also great to see the DJI is responding to these forums.  Can't wait to read more and practice more to be able to understand half the stuff you guys are talking about   But everyone starts somewhere.  This has been a much better experience than the "toys" I wasted over $1000 on.  Great job DJI
