At work again, this time on a tiny island in the Norwegian sea.
There really arnt many ways to spend a lunch brake in surroundings like these!
Specially when packing a great critter like the P1
This island also got a great story to boot:
The island's name is Skorpa.
Only surviving wild gaouts in northern Europe has its only living site here (protected).
The sole harbour is by the houses, accessed via a zigzag route along the south side.
Skorpa was one of the most important spots to the resistance movement in Norway, during WW2.
Despite intense defense efforts from "schnellboot"'s and other German forces, it was never revealed !
This was an exchange point for tons of allied weapons, lots of secret agents, refugees etc.
More than a 100 visits done !
The waters is extremely dangerous and difficult to navigate ... was done in dark nights,
just "beyond the nose" of the Germans !
All habitants of the island were involved, even kids.
They were all heroes, risking their lives !
small house for sheep/cattle, between the 2 points in the shadowed part of the island, were the "cover-up" / store of weaponry etc
Old lady the Queen Mary 2 visiting my town!
The LiPo's was fine. All of them.
After centuries the Arch Angel on top of Nidarosdomen in Trondheim was rehabilitated.
