Hello, This is my first post. I never LINKED my P3P and Controller, and have been flying successfully, Did it come already linked or do I need to do that? also, I just updated the firmware on the P3P to the latest version 1.5.30 aircraft was successful, But controller was not, I seen in a post that controller needs to be updated VIA the GO App, Can anyone tell me how to do that?  And finally last question for now, do I leave the Bin file on the SD card ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi ,
Please find the "RC Settings" and click "linking RC " in the DJI Go App . Remember to keep your RC and aircraft on and keep your device connected to RC .
If the RC firmware version is 1.3.2 or later , you'll just need to upgrade the firmware by App . If the firmware version is older than 1.3.2 , please upgrade the RC firmware to 1.3.2 with the SD card .
You don't have to leave the Bin file after the upgrade .

Sorry to Hijack..
I have an issue with not being able to connect to my P3A with another remote.(original remote broke after 2 months) It says tips, check frequency when you press Linking Remote Controllers.
Cancel/Agree.Press Agree and the screen returns to the Linking screen.
Any ideas.

Hi DJI-Ken.
Thanks for that.
I know how to connect the new remote control. That problem is the message i get about Check Frequency. Then it returns to the previous screen.

It is recommended to leave the aircraft firmware on the sd card.

That doesn't matter when you've get this updated . And the old firmware in the SD card might cause problems to the new upgrade .

I think the original poster was talking about leaving the most recent aircraft firmware on the sd c ...

And he doesn't need to keep that file in the SD card .

Oh really? How would a new battery get upgraded if need be?

Then you can just download the firmware from the official website .

I've got a similar issue with the Gimbal disconnected Error Message on my p3p. I am able to move and control the gimbal, but don't have an image.
I've already tried the following:
Different SD Cards also freshly formatted on the pc (exfat and fat32):
Sandisk Ultra Android micro SDHC 32GB bis 80MB/sec Class
Sandisk 2gb

Connected with iPhone 7s, ipad air2, Samsung Galaxy A3, Google Nexus7, all with different Connection cables.

recalibration of the gimbal

reconnecting the Remote.

Factory reset of the gimbal.

Anyone has any ideas how to fix this problem? DJI Support?

Thanks and regards.

I have a related issue.

Full disclosure - I crashed the Phantom pretty hard. So I replaced the casing (yes it was a lot of tedious work). Put it all back together, and everything seemed fine.
Everything connected. I could see the camera view in the DJI Go software on the controller. All was awesome.
I went to go fly today and the Go app said I should update the firmware - it had been at least 6 months since I'd done so.
I updated the Controller first. No problems
I downloaded P3X_FW_V01.11.0020.bin firmware and applied it to the Aircraft. Took a while, made all the right sounds. Seemed great
I checked the log file on the SD card - success.
NOW THE PROBLEM: Controller won't connect with the Aircraft
I start up the aircraft, push the little button on the side of the aircraft (it is alternating between green and red), and NOTHING HAPPENS to the light.
And yes, the button does make a nice feeling little click when I push it in. I've tried a quick push, 2 seconds, 6 seconds... etc.

So nothing here has to do with the controller at all. I can easily set the control to be in Linking mode. It's the aircraft that will not go into Linking mode.
I called DJI and a lady had me try to downgrade to FW P3X_FW_V01.08.0080.bin, but that failed
I called back and another fellow had my try to re-apply the current P3X_FW_V01.11.0020.bin but that did nothing.

So it appears the application of the Firmware has bricked my Phantom. And because I had crashed it a few months ago, I expect that sending it in is going to cost me a LOT

Any ideas????   Is there a way to downgrade and then re-upgrade the FW?
Totally stuck with an aircraft I can't connect to

Thanks!!!
