So I just found out that is it possible to invoke CSC in midair, that will cause the motors to shut off and your $2k to plummet. Is it possible to turn off this feature? I can't imagine any reason why one would ever want to turn off the motors in mid-air. Actually the software should prevent this, over a certain altitude (couple of feet), you should not be able to turn the motors off unless you land it.

I believe the option is there in case of a dire emergency. Meaning, your Phantom is out of control and headed to a pack of wild babies or something. The CSC command is not something that you should ever do accidentally. I personally believe there are better ways to kill the motors, but I understand why it is available during flight.

There is no way to disable it, it's there in case of an emergency and you need to make the thing drop out of the sky.
