Sorry if this is a repeat, I did not find it in a search.

I have seen hacks to install the latest GO on the Nexus 7 2012, but I am not ready to take that route if I can avoid it. Is there another way?
For example, suggestions are to download it directly from the DJI site, but did not see that as an option.

If not, can someone be a little more explicit on hacking the N7?

Just blew my budget on the P3, would really like to make what I have work!

I just installed it on my Nexus 7 2012 .

Nexus must be running latest Android 5.1
Go into settings security and give permission to allow install of 3rd party apps .
Then go online with the nexus to the DJI site and downloads for the Phantom 3  , tap on link for the DJIgo app from google play and it will download the apk file , when its finished downloading run it and install .

thanks for the tip, that sounds a lot easier than other work-arounds.
I found a work-around by downloading the .apk from 1Mobil Market. FPV refresh rate is really slow, but I am writing that off as the weak Nexus processor

Try turning off hardware decode to see if that speeds up your refresh rate. Might take some stress off of the processor.

You really need the more powerful 2013 version but it sounds like the older one almost copes.

I just installed 6.0 on my 2012 nexus 7 and sideloaded the dji go apk. When I tried it out there was not much lag on the video feed, Maybe with marshmallow it helps the refresh rate.
