I have a battery that shows on the DJI Go app that needs and update. When I plug the battery into the Inspire with a copy of the lastest firmware update on the SD card and the RC in the off postition no update is made and the Insipre gives me a flashing yellow light with no beeps (Not in connection with RC.)

Is there a way to see what version of Firmware is actuall on a battery? Can I force an update to a battery?

Make sure yo have the right version upgrade. This was my mistake a while ago. Inspire 1 and Inspire 1 Pro are two different  animals.

strange did you have this battery in the plane when you put fw 16.040 on the plane?
