Anybody know whether a bad battery can be fixed.  one of two of The batteries will not charge and will not show any lights when the on button is pushed.  The other will start the aircraft but show an error message on the RC that the battery is bad.   

Anybody know if the batteries can be sent back in and replaced or do I just have to buy new ones?

I believe the ones that do not show any lights can be fixed, I would do a search.

As for the one that actually says its bad, if its used already then it probably is on its way out.

How old are the batteries, have you been doing the battery calibrations?
Are you charging on the stock charger? If your using the charging hub, try to charge on the stock charger.
If they are less then 6 months old and under 200 cycles you can send them in for warranty repair.
If they are older, then there may be info out there on a DIY fix.
