Yes..and will make your drone
vibrate...put main gains to 80 80 80 100

I am still confused.  This was posted today as new firmware, but if you go to the dji site and look under downloads it still shows 1.6.004.    Where is this new firmware?

I do not see the newest firmware - though while flying today - app told me I MUST upgraded.

Ok - how come when I used the controller and DJI App is says it is downloading 1.5.70 ??  When I already am using 1.6.4 ?

I suppose this update is only for the new phantom 3 4k, not for theP3 professional or Advanced. I am not sure why your app is showing an update required if it is not the phantom 3 4k model.

Yes, this should fix the IMU error.

Yes fixed IMU calibration problem and have had 1 successful flight 10 days after delivery.

1.5.7 is the firmware of the RC, the latest firmware for the aircraft is 1.2.10

Firmware 1.6 is for the Pro and Advanced.

Wait, you are saying "Come on DJI, what the hell is going on. This is a thread for the Phantom3 4k. If you have the Phantom3 4k and installed the firmware for the Phantom3 Pro/ Advanced than you made a big mistake.
The tutorial videos and the manual show how to update, I don't know why you would go to the DJI website and try to download firmware for an aircraft you don't even have.

Hello, I just want to confirm that I correctly updated my P3 4K.

Yesterday evening the Go App has shown me that a new firmware is available, I downloaded it to the app and started to update. The RC and P3 were connected, as well as the iPhone. The Phantom started to beep and blink for around 20 minutes. Then it was done. I inserted all the batteries into the drone and switched it on. How do I know if the RC and all batteries are up to date? The Go app only shows the drone firmware version...

Easy to understand how he might have been confused since the P3 professional has a 4K camera.   Very confusing name and I see more confusion to come.   A more clear name for the new model would have helped.  

Especially since the picture above is identical to my Phantom 3 Professional.   This is the first that I have heard that there is yet another Phantom called the 4K

Hello, I just want to confirm that I correctly updated my P3 4K.

Go to the general settings tab and scroll down to About and that will tell you what version everything is on. But if your not getting a "Firmware update Required" then you are good.

The update was only for the Aircraft and batteries. If you stick in another battery and power up the aircraft only it will update the other batteries.

That I do agree, if the name was different it would be easier. But users are supposed to read the manual to understand everything and it tells you how to update the firmware.

Well then shouldn't this thread then say Phantom 3 - Basic  ?  I incorrectly assumed Phantom 3 was for all the models...  I will do my best to make sure the thread ONLY says PRO.  thanks for your help...  I think

Yes the name of the new Phantom3 4k maybe could have been different.
Besides that, did you post in the wring thread and you have a Pro or did you put the Pro firmware on your Phantom3 4k? If so, did you get it sorted out?

Just read good is for the phantom 3 4K not for professional version. Some people get still confused about 4K edition and pro version.

Unzipping on the iPhone does not make sense, you can't copy it to the microSD card, unzipping on OS X is a built in function. Depends where you want to do it. But the Phantom 4K does not do the update on the SD card, you need to "stream" the update from the Go app!

Just ordered a DJI Phantom 3 4K from amazon.com
I think it will be a nice upgrade from my DJI Phantom 3 Standard


I like the fact that I can now control the video and photo taking from the controler instead of using my tablet app
I don't need light bridge since I never fly futher then visual view FAA UAS Rules, (Ok maybe just a little futher up and away)
And for the price of $799.00 it fits nicely in my budject, Looks like my DJI Phantom 3 Standard will now become my backup drone

isnt that flying a bit low for the distance you went .  It seems to me that there would be a lot of obstructions to line of sight. You obviously can't see your phantom through the entire flight....

exactly that was one of the tests I was doing (700ft away, and began alerts interference) surprised me because I thought they were going out faster

hello, I just buy a phantom 3 4k and asked for an update. only when updated by the app could (probably) not transfer the update to the aircraft, which is giving an error signal. It is sending two straight and fast beeps at intervals of about two seconds. I want to know how do to reverse this situation. need help

My story: brandnew P34K. Updated S/W to 2.6.0 and 1.02.10. Flew it twice on one day. Afterwards at home, fired everything up in my shack to get more aquainted with GO APP - at least this was the plan.
About 15 seconds after switching on the aircraft, gimbal goes to -100 degrees.
APP shows "Gimbal status: disconnected". No matter what i do, it´s always like so. Anybody any ideas?

I am 100% with you on this.  I have no desire to send my P3 beyond my line of site and I LOVE the fact that I can control my camera without having to take my hands off the transmitter.  Personally, I think the P3 4K is an excellent flying camera!!!

Did you load the FW for the standard 4k, or the professional 4k?  There is a big difference...

you cannot choose. the GO APP does it automatically. Since I was within 14 days, I returned the copter for refund (this is possible here in Germany). Anyway, will buy a new one and hope not gonna have the same problems...

I would do the same thing but since I do not plan on flying out of site, I am going to stick with the 4k.  There seems to be a lot of people confusing the P3 Professional that has 4k with the P3 4k.  Some people are trying and maybe even succeeding in loading the professional software onto the 4k.  There seems to be a lot of confusion on the difference in the firmware for the professional and the 4k.  Just an observation....

Right you are. The confusion starts on the DJI homepage, and continues when you get your copter and want to upgrade to current s/w or firmware versions.
There is too much trial and error...
i.e. when I upgraded my P34K, I really didnt know what was when going on. I needed a couple of switch on and off until everything was apparently ok.
then I inserted a new battery, and it all started from the beginning...

Where is the link to the new firmware. I can not find it online

Anybody can post a link for older firmwares?
