Call me stupid or whatever I deserve because I am a noob. When I go to playback any 2.7k video on my PC its choppy and sometimes its choppy and has green lines. Playback on my Note 5 is fine. I am assuming so because the Note 5 has a 4k capable screen. That being said I am also assuming I cant view the videos on my PC because well its older and doesnt have the latest greatest ultra high res screen.I switch the P3 to 1080p and everything is fine on all screens. Not to mention its still a great looking video.

How old, which model is your PC ?

A lot depends on the spec' of your computer, slotting in a graphics card may be enough to give it the video processing power it needs to convert the 2.7k to 1080p smoothly. A number of PCs are designed for 'business use' and little attention is paid to the graphics  hardware. Or perhaps it is just as you mentioned, too old to have the required technology.

Laptop is about 5 years old and desktop is about 8.

It is your laptop,  my laptop does the exact same thing where as my Surface Pro 3 plays it flawless.

Just discovering the same issue.  1080  plays back beautiful and smooth on my PC and laptop, but some 2.7K video I shot today is all choppy.
Reckon I'll stick to 1080.... that still looks fine played back on my hi def 55" TV....

1080p Looks fantastic. I know 2.7k will be even better but until I upgrade PC's and so forth 1080p it is.

Try a different playback software. Or perhaps there might be a difference between mp4 or .mov formats in terms of processing requirement or memory use. Just a thought.

I switched between MOV and MP4. Same thing for both. I think it boils down to my hardware doesnt support the super high res stuff.
