After 44 hours of flying.. Its gone!! swimming with manatees and crocs.

Details...
Launched with 70% battery life since it was my second location of the day
Followed a Nissan GTR a few hundreds of feet away
Stopped
Deciced to do what I orginally planned
Started filming the land dump (not much videos of land dumps)
Gaining altitude and pulling back so you can get a good aerial view
BOOM
Low voltage, landing warning
Look down to check app
No signal
Looked up
Bird gone
Story over..
Remote still beeping, looking for its buddy.

I should be upset but not for some reason .. Flight was a total of 3 mins long and 2000 feet flight. last known voltage at 56% ..

Now how can I get flight data off ipad to upload to healthy drone?

Sorry to hear, I've only had experience with android so I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can download an app that will upload the log.

Go to healthy drones.com and register is my first suggestion, it is free. You should find the answer there...upper left hand corner of you flight screen on your tablet/phone should be a paper airplane.
Click on that and it should take you to your flight log...I stand to be corrected here!
According to DJI Patric from another post...
See post 10 in this thread...http://forum.dji.com/thread-36889-1-2.html

Hi ,
You don't have to extract the data by Healthydrones .
Upload **ALL the flight log(.DAT files) in the aircraft to dropbox and send us the link:**
a. Connect your aircraft(USB port at the tail) to a PC using the included USB cable. Turn on the Remote Controller and the aircraft, then open the DJI GO app.
b. Click “Mode” icon to view the “Advanced Settings”.
c. Click “MC Enter Read Flight Data Mode”.
d. After a few seconds, the DJI Flight Log disk will be detected by the PC and you will be able to access the data.

Upload flight records via the DJI GO app:
a. Enter the flight record page by clicking the icon at top left.
b. Click the star-shaped icon associated with the relevant flight logs to save them to the app. Then click the cloud-shaped icon at the top right side of the screen to upload them.
c. Provide DJI with the **login email account on the app.** This will allow us to access your flight logs via our server.

That's the spirit... Just think of all the experience that you already have... ;-)
You're already ahead of the game, and no learning curve to encounter. Ha
You will be back up and flying before you even realize it... Good luck.

He said he started with 70%,  The big question was when the battery was last charged.  The feeling is that running with batteries that have not been charged recently (past 24 hrs????) confuses the P3 so it thinks it has more charge than it really does.

Likely not the case here, but possible.

DJI seems to be pretty good at replacing P3s that simply fall out of the sky.  Definitely send them the flight logs as well as posting it here.

I'm sorry to hear that!
Did you synchronize your flight records? You also can use the flight records map to find the aircraft

i noticed some instructions on getting info to healthy drones, here is another way...

- open dji go app

- hit icon in upper left corner (should take you to all your flights "flight record" page)

- hit the cloud sync button upper right corner

- go to website http://thecutter.net/djiconverter  (use at your own risk, i and hundreds more use it daily to check our flights, doesn't make any external website safe though)  and login with your dji go username/pw that you use in your app, you will see a list of all your flights that you synced.. hit the download button next to the flight your interested in and then unzip the file it will be a text file.

- upload your text file to the healthy drones website once you have an account with them

This is the workflow that I always use to get my data to healthy drones website without having to pull anything off the bird itself.

Start a warranty ticket with DJI, you never know.  With all of the birds falling out of the sky because the batteries were not working correctly you might just get a new aircraft.  Can't hurt to try.

Oh wow, that blows. I'm amazed it didn't return home when it lost signal? Anyhow, the cost of the P3's are coming down for sure, I would check craigslist for any deals.

Anyhow, I think I'm gonna replace my batteries after 99 charges just in case.
