Key part is Micro UAS Operations 338 about weight, which will leave our Phantoms alone.

Thanks for posting. It will be interesting to follow the progress of this bill. It is highly unlikely that it will make it out of committee as originally submitted. But what I see is highly encouraging. What jumps out at me is: 1.) There would be no requirement for liability insurance for commercial use of a micro UAS. 2.) No mention of a FAA registration requirement for a micro UAS. If by some miricle the bill moves through the House and Senate intact (don't hold your breath), I would be happy with it. The only part that I would not like is the daylight flight rule which prohibits nighttime flights.

i think that will be changed, if they leave that in the bill to many will just run out and get micro drones for commercial use.
