Hi all,

I previously had a good, working Ronin Unit until the end of 2015 when I started to notice some issues such as the unit not centering when powered on, if I tapped it slightly I'd hear the motors lightly whirring in the background and then eventually it would centre or go into a wild spin (the unit was always correctly balanced when switched on).

The bigger problem more recently has been that the Roll Axis won't stay in the centre and will drift. I tested this with the DJI app and when I run the Roll Axis speed test it begin the test and then the unit will power off. I did update the firmware early in the new year as a means to see if that would help the motor kill issue and it seems to have made it significantly worse (version 3.0 and IMU 1.2) - I'm aware there's a downgrade that some have reported resolved issues with the Ronin, can anyone advise if they've been successful and if this sounds like an issue that a firmware downgrade would resolve as I can't find anyone else who has a unit that powers off/motor kills during the Roll Axis test on the app or computer software.

Are there any UK or Europe based specialists that deal with DJI Ronin repairs or is the only alternative to send the Unit to the US for repair?

Thanks all, advice and similar expeirences would be helpful and if someone from DJI could comment about the firmware downgrade that would be appreciated.

Has anyone else experienced this before? Is this an update issue as I'm seeing a lot of drift when I power on the camera?

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for responding - I've restored to defaults several times with no success. Could you assist me with downgrading to 2.1 as I'd like to try that, should I PM you my serial number?

I've also contacted the Europe DJI and it's been over 48 hours with no response now.
