hey fellas, I'm trying to decide whether I should get an Ipad mini 4 or Ipad air 2. I have seen the app run on the full size Ipad, but would like to see what it looks like on the mini. wondering if mini shows attitude radar as well as maps. I know on cell phones you pick one or the other, but not sure how it plays out on the mini.  Thanks in advance.

I use two iPad mini2s - no issue running the app and a much better fit on the RC than its bigger brother.
Not the brightest screen out there, but a hood is no trouble on sunny days.

I personally would not go any bigger.

I  have been using two mini iPad 3's. The camera view has both map and compass on same page. couldn't get the screen shot to upload but it would show exactly the same layout as on the iPad. Likewise, not sure that I would want to attach a full sized iPad to the remote having worked with the mini so far. I have just purchased the DJI hoods having been using the Hoodi which is ok but can come off in stronger wind gusts.

I use the iPad Mini 4 with no issues, except for screen brightness of which we can always use more.  

I do have an observation.  When you run an app on the iPad Mini 4 (and I suspect on all IOS devices) the app will stay loaded in the background unless you double click the home button and swipe it off the screen.  I have had some issues with the app showing incorrect status information if I do not launch the app from "scratch" each time the Inspire is powered on.

I agree, in the sun any device still needs a sunshade.
I always fully shut down the app when I'm finished flying, but sometimes I've forgotten and have not noticed anything unusual.
But good practice would be to start the app fresh when getting ready to fly.

Ken, this is a great photo. It tells us so much more than just a screen-capture taken from within  ...

Mine is a mini 3 128gb WiFi and it works great.
I remember someone saying that a large GB storage works better then a low one. But my NVIDIA Shield only had 16gb and it worked totally fine.
My iPad Air is 64gb and that works just fine as well. So maybe the larger storage is just better to store videos on it and won't make a difference with the GO app.

Nice, I also have the lightning to HDMI to use when I watch a TV show (love Blacklist) and hook my iPad up to the TV but the resolution is terrible. I was going to try Chromecast out but haven't yet.

Nice, I got Chromecast set up on my iPad (very cool) but I tried to watch Blacklist and it my iPad said the full episode isn't available to watch on this device.
So got it on my Mabook (how I usually watch it through lightning to HDMI to TV but my Mac is stuck on searching for devices.
Oh well, past my bedtime, I'll try tomorrow.
Geez, can this thread get any more of topic.
