Hi

I am having big problems trying to set up the A2 Controller with a Spektrum DX18 Stealth Transmitter. I am using 2 DSMX satellite receivers but am constantly
getting bind failure. The A2 binds no problem with a DX9 transmitter and sets itself as DSM2. I can get some response by binding the DX18 and satellites with a
separate receiver then plugging them back into the A2 but the connection is intermittent and erratic when viewed on the A2 Assistant software.

Anyone have any help on this?

Thanks

Chris

UPDATE: I have now tried using 2 DSM2 receivers instead of DSMX but it still will not work!

Please try this method: DX9 transmitter + DSMX receiver+A2, if this combination works well, then it might be the problem of the DX18 transmitter, you can check the parameters settings of it then.

The DX9 binds to the A2 no problem with either DSM2 or DSMX satellite receivers. The DX18 Stealth binds no problem with any other receiver but will not bind with the A2 using either DSM2 or DSMX receivers

I have discovered the problem. Since January 2015 DSM2 is no longer available on Spektrum transmitters in Europe due to legislation, so you cannot use any Spektrum transmitter made after this date with the DJI A2 flight controller system if you live in Europe.

Why are DJI exporting A2 controllers to Europe saying that it supports Spektrum radios when this is clearly not the case?

Will DJI be addressing this issue any time soon as this is clearly ridiculous!

I will forward your condition to the corresponding officers as soon as possible, this might be caused by a late update about the compatibility. We will check the Europe legislation as soon as possible.

The EUROPE implemented the standard EN 3003281.7.1 and this standard expired on 2014/12/31, the new standard now is EN 300328 1.8.1/1.9.1. The Spektrum company seems haven't obtained the authorization and that's why you can't use it in Europe currently. You need to conatct Spetrum about the authoriztion plan, but theoritically the A2 can support this transmitter, it can't be used in europe because of the authorization of Spektrum, but the transmitter still be used in other countries.

It works fine. Just bind with a DSM2 satellite not a DSMX one.
