What you're noticing is one of the limitations of the modern handheld stabilizing device. Traditional steadicams overcome this vertical movement by adding an articulating arm between the operator and the sled which carries the camera. There are a couple of ways to reduce this undesirable side effect. One, keep your knees and arm bent as you walk to help reduce the amount of vertical movement your body produces as you walk. Two, add a five pound wrist weight to the arm that is holding the stabilizer. The added mass helps reduce the influence of your movement as you walk. Third, wait for DJI, or a third-party to add a 4th axis adapter for the Osmo. The latter has had some attention as of late from a supposed photo leak that was taken of the adapter: http://idji.com.cn/posts/list/32 ... 6615&newTopic=t |
