Just testing my new Osmo and have to say it is awesome, I am though struggling in one area..

I have seen many Osmo videos where the footage seems to glide seamlesly through the scene as if floating on a cushion of air, my own first test shots however show a "slight" up and down movement in time with each step I take.

Can anyone please provide any tips as to how I can overcome this, is there a specific gimble setting I need to alter or do I just need to master some kind of walking tequnique?

Thanks in advance...

Hi, thanks for your positive feedback!
To get more stable footage, please try to avoid strong vibration always. You can also make the most use of the official Osmo accessories for the best using experience, please refer to the website for the accessories:  http://store.dji.com/osmo?from=buy_now_menu&site=brandsite   For the installation guidelines, please refer to:  http://www.dji.com/product/osmo/info#downloads

What you're noticing is one of the limitations of the modern handheld stabilizing device. Traditional steadicams overcome this vertical movement by adding an articulating arm between the operator and the sled which carries the camera. There are a couple of ways to reduce this undesirable side effect. One, keep your knees and arm bent as you walk to help reduce the amount of vertical movement your body produces as you walk. Two, add a five pound wrist weight to the arm that is holding the stabilizer. The added mass helps reduce the influence of your movement as you walk. Third, wait for DJI, or a third-party to add a 4th axis adapter for the Osmo.  The latter has had some attention as of late from a supposed photo leak that was taken of the adapter: http://idji.com.cn/posts/list/32 ... 6615&newTopic=t

with enough practice ( 2 months) , you will get the smooth glide down. If you shoot at 120FPS and do a fast steady walk through , you can get an even smoother playback. Just make sure there's no subjects in the frame
