My new Phantom 3 4K remote is missing USB port

Does that mean I need to get a micro usb to lightning for my iphone?

I can see live vieo fine and not sure if I need the wire cable in order to fly

No no wire needed. You connect via WiFi. Its recommended to use a small tablet. Something quality with a quad core. Also buy yourself some good memory for your 4K like SanDisk 64GB class 10 U1 look for the ones with U3 in the picture. Get it from B&H Photo online.

I have the same Phantom 3 4K Work only with wifi. I´m use iPad mini 2 works great.

Thanks Stanley.  So it looks like any needed updates in the future are taken care of without a cable connection. Thats not explained in the dji paperwork.

P3P have lightbridge HD downlink in RC, in our phantom 34k don't have lightbridge.

So to clarify,

The Phantom 3 4K model is a Standard Phantom 3 with 4K video camera. That's the only difference. It does not use lightbridge tech, it uses WiFi for the video feed.

Return it for a Phantom 3 Advanced or Pro, you'll be much happier. <- Seriously.
