Stock was fairly soft aluminium which I am more comfortable working with.
Fairly new to machining so takes me around 6 hours per cap, with about same time initially designing and working out all the cuts on paper. I'd guess CNC would just take minutes but I enjoy doing it.
Being semi retired allows for heaps of spare time so no issue there.
Will make more to share with others in need but they are not exactly a quality product but at least won't break easily.

Nice work. I have a collection of various hardwood bowls I turned on a lathe.
I Love to work with lathes and other high speed cutting tools... ;-)

Nice! I've had a lathe for years and just recently got a new mill and am planning on trying my hand at making things for my P3A and other things. I'm also retired so I'll have plenty of time.

These are awesome!! How much would you charge for a set? I've been looking for some motor guards and I don't trust all the fake reviews of the plastic ones on Amazon...
