Hello,

I just bought a phantom 2 and I cant get it in the air.  I have updated the software calibrated the controler, done an advanced calibration, insured everything is put on correctly (propellers, etc.) and have read mutliple forums but I still cant figure out the problem.  I can get the propellers and mottor to start, but when I try to take off it spins faster but does not leave the ground.  It is my first drone and im really not sure what could be the problem.

Nope, I am not within 5 miles of any airports.

Check to see if you have your modes backwards,
Go back into the program as Mode 1 and 2 could have been reversed so your controls could be backwards.
