Does waypoint flight continue after radio signal loss?

Hi guys,

I have a waypoint flight planned just a few hundred feet from where I will be standing, which contains a ridgeline...along that flight, I'd like the P3 to descend behind that ridgeline briefly, and in doing so, the P3 might briefly lose RC radio contact.

(I am flying in an very unpopulated area, and have already scouted the flight to make sure there is no danger, plus I am using a spotter who can see the P3.)

If I am using waypoints to autonomously fly the route, what will happen if the Phantom loses radio signal?

Will it:

1)  Immediately return to land?

or

2)  Will it continue the waypoint flight?

Thanks...

Door number 2) -> It will continue on to the next way point
While filmed with the P3S, this DJI video is for all P3 models:

I assume you are going to have a way-point down behind the ridge line.  You will have to manually fly the phantom to this location to "set" the way-point.  If you are going to loose signal it will happen during this maneuver.

Hummingbird...I'll use FlyLitchi.com...no need to fly there first to define the waypoint.

Terry,

Thanks for that...I suppose I can test it by shutting off the radio...
