DJI Go - What does 0% battery mean?

I am confused about the meaning of 0% battery on the DJI Go app...
1)  Does 0% correspond to, say, 80% of the total milliamps used (a typically agreed-upon safe lipo usage level)?

2)  Does it correspond to a certain safe voltage?

3)  Does the P3 shut down at 0%

Thanks...

Bill,
Take a quick look at DJI-TIM's post on How the Intelligent Battery Works followed by his post on Intelligent Battery Power System Design and see if these answer your questions.

More information is available HERE, and in Andrew Stemerman's video:

The 100% and 0% are relative to mAH (3600 coulombs) capacity. Fully charged the battery has 4480 mAH... At 0% is has nothing left to give. The battery will shutdown when any cell reaches 3.0 volts.

Where are you seeing 0% battery?  You should never see 0%.

AG0N,

I didn't say I saw it...I was just wondering what it meant, and if I did see it, would that mean I destroyed the battery?  Or is 0% still a "safe" level?  Will the battery survive?

That kind of thing.

Yes. You see 0%, the battery is toast so don't let it get fully depleted.

I dont know how it could ever get to 0%. It wont let itself get that low unless it was defective from the start.

I've been down to 7% one time and never below that, so I don't know where it shuts itself down, but it is supposed to at some point.  In fact, to calibrate the batteries, you are supposed to run them until they shut off and then recharge them as soon as they are cool.  This is not something you do all the time, just every now and then for calibration purposes.  I don't remember what the interval is to do it though.

I had cell deviations last week, and ran my battery down to 0%.., and it kept hovering at 0% for another 20 seconds or so until I decided to land.
