Has anyone experimented with these windsurfer things and do the actually work?? I made one with foil and it did seem to help but cant swear to it. I recently tried 1 made with copper sheeting and it bombed big time UNLESS flying over water reduces range dramatically.  Whats everyonea input on these as well as range over water???

It may work if you fluke the design right. Anyone who knows anything about RF design shudders when looking at them because the design of antennas is a quite exacting science and these designs are usually just cobbled together with no knowledge on the part of the designer.

For some reason it works for some people and doesn't work for others.
