There are a couple of threads about  v1.7.0.90 , but my problem is different.

1. I successfully upgraded my Remote Controller(s) to 1.5.80 by downloading and upgrading using the DJI GO app. Overall status is "Normal"
2. I successfully upgraded my Inspire 1 using the Inspire 1 Firmware v1.7.0.90 dated 2016-03-17 on the http://www.dji.com/product/inspire-1/info#downloads page.
3. I changed battery and repeated the upgrade procedure in case there was a battery firmware upgrade - there wasn't, and on the second upgrade the .txt file said the firmware on the card was older or the same as that on the craft.
4. I reboot everything, go into the status dialog, and under "Overall Status" I get a new message "Firmware Requires Upgrade!" > "!Aircraft requires upgrade".
5. I go to "... | About" and get the following:  App 2.6.0 | Aircraft 1.600.40 | RC 1.5.80 | Camera 1.7.00.90

Everything appears to be working (I can see the through camera in DJI GO, I can start the propellors), but I have this annoying message (which appears to be incorrect).

Given the other problems people have posted about  v1.7.0.90 , is this upgrade dodgy? or am I safe to fly?

did you try to use it with DJI GO 2.7?

Tim, I had this problem intermittently this morning and I'm using app 2.7.1

Your app is not on the latest update but your aircraft is on 1.7.
Since 1.7 was only a camera update, the camera will say 1.7 but the aircraft will still say 1.6

There is alot of this so It is a problem maybe with app or whatever but there is to many people reporting this.

I had this, all the firmware numbers are correct, but in aircraft status it says 'firmware update required'  - Answer - Delete the app and re-install. Clears the message and everything works as it should.

Just as Adrian stated. Delete the App and reinstall and problem was gone.

It was a server issue and it has been resolved.

Hi Ken

Did the server update so the new firmware reads correctly in the App now? Some have reported a lower firmware number with a + sign. I have this on my OSMO after updating it to the latest FW version.

For the Inspire, the 1.7 is the latest firmware update but since there was no aircraft update the aircraft will still say 1.6. The + sign just means everything to the server is not updated yet.
So whenever you see a + sign, it means you are updated and when the app connects to the DJI servers next time it will go away. If the + still hangs on, it will eventually go away.

So far what you said is true for the aircraft they have updated correctly. My OSMO has been connected to the server via the GoApp and still the firmware has not changed from the 1.0.1.19+. It also lists the other stuff App, WiFi, Gimbal, AircraftEncoder, Camera, AirOFDM

Do you have any notes on this?

No I don't, can you delete the app and reinstall. Then run the update again if it says update required.

Upgraded to 2.7
Now have no camera view
and RC Version is 'Unkown" Now it says RC 1.5.70
No mention of Camera version?
Still no camera view?
Any advice

Latest RC update is 1.5.8.
What does the aircraft version say?
If it doesn't tell you then you possibly came unlinked from the aircraft. In the app there's a tutorial video on how to relink.

i had an issue with the inspire not restarting after the update. it just sat there D-DD beeping until I had to manually turn it off and on... seems fine so far.
