I have an iPad Air and that's the biggest device that will fit in the device holder. Plus I wouldn't want anything bigger than it. I also have a iPad Mini3 and that's perfect.

I prefer a full sized iPad (use an Air) but it will not fit in the P4 case.  It looks like a mini iPad will fit in the case.

Does the storage size matters?

If you are using the DJI hard case, then the Air 2 will fit under the top foam section, that's where mine lives.

I use the iPad air 2 and it works great.  The smaller iPad pro that apple announced today should be amazing if it will fit.

according to the specs its the same size as iPad air 2 so yes it will fit.  

I bought an iPad Air with cellular for 300 bucks brand new from Best Buy... Works fantastic especially for my old eyes!

I started with the iPad Mini Wifi but I cant get maps..so now I am using the iPad Air 4G.

iPad Air 2 cellular works great for me.

IPAD mini 4 and no issues.

well App is working fine with My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge .. But i am thinking to buy Appel IPad Mini 4, Or 9.7-inch iPad Pro .. cant decide which one is good mini or new  9.7-inch iPad Pro

It works fine, the only issue is getting it to sync up...
You usually have to unplug it 3 times before it will sync

Google Nexus 7 2013. Cheap, fast as hell, always runs the latest Android, can take a beating, super thin, light and never lags.

I just bought the iPad Air 2 - and its great. Have it tethered to my phone for Connection and its sweet.

iPad Air 2 if you're into pictures and video, but I'd recommend the Inspire 1 RC Metal Mounting Bracket available via the DJI Store! or a similar metal bracket available on eBay or Amazon because of the added weight and screen size.

iPad Mini 4 if you like flying because it's sized just right!!!

Sorry for the newb question.. What is the advantage of having a connection? Doesn't the Phantom itself have all the GPS receivers needed?
