Hi everyone,
unfortuntately I received a faulty drone. On the same day i emailed  DJI Support (no phone support for Australia). 24 hours later i get a response and after trying everything they've asked me including video recording what i did and sending it back to them i haven't heard back from them in almost a week.
I spent nearly $2700 (inc extra battery) this drone and i find the level of support very disappointing.

The reference # is 183618 and i received an email saying its been resolved?

Anyone else experienced the same issue?

What do i need to do to get a response?

I always recommend that ! Buy DJI Products from ur nearest Store ! cause my personal experience is that ONLINE Shops are always Bad when product is faulty or have any issue ..  consumer laws apply better when u buy from a some store .. can change replace .. or can solve any issue in so easy way ...

I did purchase it through the DJI website...
So, is this the "normal" level of support you get from DJI?
This was my first time buying from them.

Unfortunately i live in a remote town and had no choice but to purchase it online.
Fingers crossed they get back to me soon.

Keep all you can crossed but it may take a couple of weeks at the quickest.
Ask for a DJI support  ...

Yeah im hoping a DJI support person will see this post.
I'm originally from Perth too but moved up to Karratha for work.

Yep Karratha is a little to far for a drive to Perth.
DJI are not renowned for their fast service  ...

I hope so too.

I am an Aussie too but living in Philippines . When you say faulty what's the drone doing for you to think it's faulty ?

i'm in progress of the DOA replacement. I'm promised to get UPS label later today. It'll take 2-8 days to get me a new drone they said.
Got to wait and see how this progresses

I just wanted to say this real quick... if it were me, and I had that much money to buy a drone, I might just go ahead and get like the inspire (or wait for new one to come out) or something like that...  get a big boy   just sayin, bro!

I waited to reply to you for a little before i got my drone back.
I sended this on the 1st of april(No joke). And today(05-04) i got a new one back. So with the weekend in between that's really good.

The bird had a gimbal malfunction mostly while being mid-air. Gimbal would just shut down and leave the camera hanging.It would do so every time i flew it.

hey atis,
basically the bottom section of the drone doesn't work (grey part, including the gimbal)
It wont link with the RC and the gimball doesn't auto calibrate during boot up.
Also, when i plug the drone to any of my 3 computers (PC, laptop and iMac) via usb it won't get detected.

I finally received an email from DJI and they agreed to replace it. Today I will send it back to Hong Kong for a final assessment and I'm hoping to get the new one in the next couple of weeks.
